The Penguin Room

Our youngest and most vulnerable tamariki have their own little home and playground adjacent to the older tamariki.

Our Penguin Room teaching team is made up of informed, skilful adults who bring their wisdom and knowledge of infant and toddler pedagogy into a beautiful, low-stress, rich, responsive, and relationship-based environment where they are cared for in ways that make them feel protected, safe, and secure.

The Studio

Welcome to our Studio, a nurturing and dynamic space designed for 4-year-old children where curiosity and creativity thrive. Guided by the principles of Te Whāriki and the Reggio Emilia approach, we create an environment that responds to each child's unique interests and learning journey. Through play and exploration, we support their development in building confidence, self-regulation, and self-help skills. Our "school-ready" program encourages children to embrace new challenges while fostering independence and a love for learning. Here, every child is celebrated, and their growth is nurtured in a fun, engaging, and thoughtful way.

The Tohorā Room

Our Tohorā room is a vibrant, busy space for tamariki aged between 2 and 4 years.

Here our tamariki are provided with exciting experiences and resources in a safe environment allowing them to explore and learn through play whilst scaffolded by experienced, qualified teachers who focus on the holistic development of the whole child, including language and social and emotional skills.

Outdoor Space

Our Tohora and Studio tamariki share our well-resourced outdoor environment throughout the day. Here they get to explore using their whole body and have plenty of opportunities to run, climb, build, and play with water and sand.
