The Studio provides a learning-rich environment for tamariki over the age of 4 years. 

Our tamariki continue to be supported in their holistic development, as in the Tohorā room, but with an increased focus on self-confidence as they prepare to go to school.  In the studio, our tamariki are extended through the Maori concept of “Tuakana-Teina” relationships. 

The tuakana-teina relationship is where an older or more expert tuakana (brother, sister, friend) helps and guides a younger or less expert teina (originally a younger sibling/friend) and where reciprocal learning is valued.
